I know it has been done to the top post and you can get more creative and use the carry arm to offset the Garmin unit off to the side and lower so that it is easier to read in the sun. I’m curious of a few things:
1. Are the velocities reported the same on the rest as they are standing on its tripod off to the side?
2. Any issues with the Garmin unit coming loose and rotating when shooting?
3. And this one is a complete stretch, but has anyone seen the POI of groups change as a result of mounting the Garmin to the Neo-X? (I can’t possibly imagine the minuscule weight of the Garmin unit could possibly have any effect but I thought I’d ask.
4. I ordered the simple M12 to 1/4-20 adapter, but I also ordered the slick quick disconnect one that F class John posted about previously, yet to try either solution but I imagine the QD is likely better because you don’t have to mess around with consistent alignment from session to session. Opinions from you guys??
