Garmin missing shots

Anybody else have issues with the Garmin frequently missing shots?? I got my first unit warrantied. Thought maybe I just got a bad unit. The replacement is doing the exact same thing. Missing multiple shots almost every time I use it. Never heard of this before… I think I’m setting it up properly. Any help or advice is much appreciated. Thanks

Not real sure what might be going on but I have used mine now for well over a year with zero missed shots. Double check your distance from the muzzle with the device being placed off to the side. Do not place it directly under or in line with the barrel. With these two conditions in check I'm not sure what else to tell you.

Thanks for the reply. This is pretty much exactly how I set it up every time. I’ve tried both sides of the rifle. The left and the right

I’ll definitely do that for sure
i have mine mounted to a piece of strapsteel bolted to left side of my rest. mabie missed one ir two shots in last year. id do wat bill and farmer said. i think getting it farther off ground and more inline with muzzle and closer to muzzle would be a start. also once you get it mounted on rest point it at the target. have you only shot prone with it or have you shot with it off a bench? -- i must go now to dump some n140 into some brass things and put the caps on. (:

I only shoot prone. I just went out and brought a box with me to get it off the ground about 3” and it didn’t miss a shot this time. I’ll continue doing that in the meantime and see if it continues to help

Mine must have 1k shots over it. Never missed one. I find it barely even need to be pointed at the target. Just in the general direction it still works. Prone dust flying in my face still works. Only complaint is it will overheat and shutoff when its over about 90 if there is no shade. That sucks cuz 90 to 100 in direct sun is normal for me.

When mine was on its 2nd or third update it started missing shots on the pistol range. Now that it's on the latest software version it's rock solid.

Is yours updated to the latest firmware?
