Freeware target analysis program

Hello, all. I have been obsessing about improving my accuracy and decided to do some target analysis. I hadn't done any programming in a few years and decided to give it a try. I wrote my own software for analyzing my targets. It calculates extreme spread, average radius, standard deviation of the radii, overall MOA, windage MOA, and elevation MOA.

IT IS FREE. No ads, no trial version, no BS.

I've used it and it works well for me. I've not installed/shared this with anyone so I don't know how it will install/function on other systems (with maybe not the correct .NET version or whatever). It is written for Windows and I'm running it on Windows 7 but it should run fine on 7 and up, maybe even down a version or two if the right .NET framework is installed.

Please let me know if you find any issues. It's designed to import/open JPG files. I made an instructional video for it on YouTube. Links below.

Thank you. It was kind of a pill to figure out some of the stuff, but the product makes the work worthwhile. I'd never done any work with images before so I had to figure out how to gauge distances in an image to some scale on the paper. It didn't happen overnight. And my professional programming was done with VB6 and this was written in Visual Studio 2017 Community (not exactly like "black powder vs smokeless", but it was quite different).

First, it shouldn't ask you to log in to download the file (I've saved the password to the file sharing site on my computer so I wouldn't know). File sharing has changed a lot in the 10 years or more since I last wrote and distributed any freeware.

Second, if you wanna surf hot Asian porn, fine, but don't throw me under the bus with your wife; "but, honey, it wasn't by choice...I was just trying to get some target analysis software and <bam!>, nekkid Asian hoohoo ever'where!"

Would have tried it, but the hosting site is riddled with other stuff trying to find your zip files. I have to go scan everything now and find all the other stuff that downloaded while looking for your zip file. Thanks anyway.

Did the direct link to the file not work? Years ago I just put stuff on "download.com" and was done. Apparently that's not the case anymore; I had a hard time locating a free file hosting site. I've not had my own web site on a server in a while so that was a no-go. If anyone knows a better place to put the file for hosting I'd try it. It's not supposed to be a pain in the butt to get the software. :(

I can e-mail it; the zip file is only about 284K.

Okay, so after a couple of "issues" were raised, I see a couple of problems: 1) the site I put the file on has ads and 2) it has misleading download buttons.

First, I understand that they have to make some money to run the site but their choice of ads is leaning to nekkid women. Now, I'm a fan of nekkid women, in general, but not when I'm trying to share something with strangers who might not appreciate a bunch of hoohoo ads.

Second, there are a number of misleading download buttons on the page (I logged out and followed the link myself to see what y'all see). Along the bottom of the screen is a bar which has the real download and, if you hover your mouse over it, the link hint will show that it will download the ZIP file.

It's kind of a pill, I'm sorry. The world of nefarious, devious, evil bastards is, yet again, ruining it for the rest of us.

The file is only 284K in size; I can e-mail it. Anyone who knows a better hosting site, please tell me. Anyone who has access to a hosting site and wants to host it may. I'd post it here but, while ZIP files are accepted, the site tells me the filetype is not (presumably the executable and installer files inside).

Suggest you put it on GitHub. Visual Studio can link directly to it.

I've been thinking of doing something similar but have many other projects in front of it.

I'm sorry. I'd love to work with it. But so far all of these download sites require me to install a 'downloader' which I simply won't do for personal security reasons. Thanks anyway, but until I can get a clean nothing attached copy of the zip file I can't do it. Hope it all works out for you guys.
 
You might be a little confused watching the video because you don't see the cross hair that he is referring too, but it is there when using the program.

Hmm, well, I would blow off any "downloader" crap. I never accept that stuff and don't blame you for not messing with it. Lemme try this...

Well, #$%$!, if I'd known I could just attach a zip file to the post I would have done that from the git go. Live and learn. Someone lemme know if that works, please.
