Seems to me the discourse is less hostile recently. The Boss deletes posts that get rowdy quicker now.

We’re fortunate to have the knowledge base of the guys like Messrs Lambert, Nyhus, Tooley and others.

As far as I can find, there’s no better firearm forum and now we have a Handgun section!

Like most places you have learn how to filter out the BS, a lot of people come here asking a simple questions and get answers that read like a documentary.
I’ve tested that theory multiple times just to prove a point. But main thing there’s a lot of good information shared here. I just put on my flame proof suit and wade on in. We’re all here to learn and help

I am not offended if someone disagrees with anything that I post. While I am no expert, I just try to share my real-world experiences in the shooting sports.

If you ask how to make your Savage 99 ammo more accurate your going to need a different answer that if you ask how to make your Savage M12 6br more accurate to compete in club matches you need 2 different answers.

Actually, spend some time at 24hour, Snipershide or LRH. You will appreciate this site in a hurry. Great knowledge base, and mostly respectful members. When I have a question or want to learn something I come here. When I want to laugh at a meme I go to SH. I really do appreciate this site.

Open debate seems to be less respectful all the time with guys preferring to shout each other down over the smallest things, or openly baiting others into arguments.

To me, the overall vibe here is mostly uncool anymore. Things change, but not always for the better.

Relatively new on this forum but I find it is now one of two that I frequent regularly. But when the subject becomes toxic and the nonsense arguments with yelling and badgering start, I normally bow out. I come here to relax, learn, ask questions and respond when I can. Like many I just don't need the stress.

I guess you could say I'm one of the old timers I think I joined a month or two after inception so have seen it all on here.
If you don't know about something or have a problem guaranteed there is someone here that can and will most likely give some advice or help you with your problem.
With that being said there are others that are just looking for likes and attention who don't have the expierience to really comment on the subject.
If you want to know who the guys are that really know, look for the ones that have been around the longest and respond the least.

I'm a relatively new member here, but I frequent this forum multiple times throughout the day and have more or less given up on the other 2-3 forums that I have been member of for 20 years. I'll still check in every now and again, but this forum is hands down the best when it comes to experienced guys without all the petty BS involved. I've learned more from this site in the last 2 years on precision loading than I had previously on the other forums in 20 years! This forum has also cost me way more money in the last 2 years than probably the previous 20 haha. I appreciate everyone's willingness to help with the new guys and questions, even though it might get a little old sometimes. The amount of times I've asked a question and then got PMs in my inbox with several paragraphs of detailed information is priceless and very thankful for their time. Bunch of great guys in here that you really can't learn from anywhere else in my opinion! Thank you and hope everyone has a great 2026!
