? For the guys shooting 6mm 103gn Vapor Trails in 6br/BRA/Dasher/BRX

Will be doing some load testing for first time with 103gn Copperheads in BRA which Im led to believe are very similar to the 103 Vapor Trails. For the guys using Vapor Trails what have you found them like compared to Berger 105 or Sierra 107s?.

Cheers Rushty

You know those really good 4 shot groups that measure an inch or less at 600yd with that 5th shot opening the group up to a 3.5-4" group? Yea, all 5 stay together with the Vaportrails.

Never heard of a copperhead bullet, but there's only one Vaportrail.

I will weigh my charge of h4895 tomorrow an tell you what seems to work at 300 y yds I tested a little at that distance today

I can tell anyone following this thread that Rushty has given me his load for those 103 Copper Head's when I asked specifically about a load for those projectiles and it does shoot small...
(You can look for that question somewhere on this forum)
First time I tried his load of 29.3gr Varget {AR2208 in Ozstralia where it is made and rebranded "Varget" for sale in the USA} CCI 450's, .008 jam., 28" Benchmark 1:8, Eliseo R-5
Put 10 shots into 44mm {1.75"} at 300 meters. Would have gone 1.5" if #8 had fallen on or inside of #6.
It would be interesting to see what the Vapor Trail's do on this diet...

Ohhh that’s where I’ve been going wrong... I need to leave them ON the shelf... got it, will keep you posted. :)
Sorry I can't help even though I doubt many folks have as much 6brx experience as I have had. But, I have only ever used 2 bullets. EPS 106 and the 107 SMK, the new factory tipped version, has an advantage it 1000 yds. There was a fellow beside me at a 500yd match Sat. Using 103 Vapor trails. Not sure how they shot but he was not a place winner.

I don't care who makes the bullet but the only way to get an idea how uniform they are is to sorting them. The ultimate test is on paper weather a 100 yds. or out to a 1000yds. There seems to be some very good factory bullets now, they must have found something out....jim
