Flavio Fare' Benchrest Triggers

I didn't get that out of it. But I'm a little slow sometimes. I did a forum search and saw where Fergus in Australia had one on a center fireppc a year and a half ago.
I'm pretty interested as I was thinking of buying a Bix and Andy
I'm going to pm Fergus to see if he would mind to give his thoughts on them

Tim...do yourself a favor and get the Bix. It's the real deal...its an amazing work of art. IMO, the beauty is in how it will hold at a ridiculous low pull weight! Kiss slam fires away, lol.

Speedy now has one on his BR gun

Bix'n'Andy is indeed a great trigger no doubt about it , but FF more than matches it depending on the action trigger pull can go down to sub 1oz no problem .

The FF must be a really nice trigger, and I have no reason to doubt it is. The BNA is an amazing trigger and as has been stated is difficult to impossible to get to slam fire. I have numerous Jewell's and feel they are a very good trigger as well and have been the industry standard for a long time. Being the standard does not mean that nothing can out perform them however, and for the cost of the BNA or the FF, they had better show some better performance.

I think the amazing part of this evolution is that it took so long to produce a design with roller bearing surfaces ala the BNA, FF, or even the Trigger Tech designs. It seems like such common sense now that we have seen them. With the exception of some of the wait times that are out there, it sure is a good time to be a shooter.

My new F TR rig is equipped with a FF BR trigger.
Just after some break-in shots I could say it is a fantastic trigger. Feeling is better than my previous BR Jewell

Equipment list from from top 10 at this year World benchrest championships

Looks like a few FF. Several B&A.
I'll work on trying to get the complete list

I wonder why the light uses more Bix n Andy and FF then the heavy class. I see a lot of the top shooters use B&A. Matt

Matt i think if you could see the big picture there theyre all the same guns. Out of 100 competitors in heavy there may be 2 actual heavy guns. Most use their light guns for light, sporter and heavy.

Matter of fact i cant see any of those hv competitors using an actual hv gun on that list but there may be a couple that i didnt notice

Dusty I don't know that game very well or the equipment used. I went to the Nationals at Weikert to see the guns and targets.
I don't believe I could tell the difference between the 10 1/2 or 13 pound guns. Now in my game I usually tell if a gun is heavy or light. I did pull a trigger on a 17 pound gun that had a B&A in and I could tell the difference. I never would have thought you could beat a Jewell. There is a difference. Matt

A 13.5lb gun has an advantage as it hides bad gun handling practices but since we're tuning all day long at the match between relays you get one gun going like you want then you gotta switch. 20yrs ago it seemed that everybody had a heavy but now they just shoot one gun. Youll see more heavies at bigger matches but most folks just carry 2 light guns and keep em tuned right

Added weight of HV gun makes for less trigger 'input' but in any case i would thint most people use LV gun for both clases.

FF are only on the US market for couple of months now while Bix and Andy is used for couple of years now so would be suprising to see more Flavios at the present time.
