Flavio Fare' Benchrest Triggers

Ha-ha...do you have one? Yes or No?
Yes. With it and my Kelbly's set at the same pull weight, there is no difference whatsoever. When my finger touches the side of that trigger, it doesn't recognize a difference between brands.

Except the kelbly will slam fire, lol.

Guess i'm just lucky. I have 3 Kelbly triggers, and have yet to have that problem. I have not had that problem with Jewell triggers on my guns either. I have heard the rumors, but personally, don't know anyone that has encountered it. As I stated…. any trigger set as light as we set them up can slam-fire. We hope they don't.

ANY trigger, no matter where it is made, or whatever the price, can slam-fire. The lighter the pull weight, the greater the chance it will happen. Do the trigger makers offer a written warranty that states it can't or won't happen?

The Bix does not...mine is set pretty under an ounce and tried to get a slam fire out of it, could not. Maybe if its dropped off a cliff it will, but realistically it definitely holds. Jewel or a Kelby won't come close. Its a phenomenal trigger...not even in the same league as the others. Can't comment on a Flavio since I never had my hands on one.
The key words: "can slam-fire". Triggers used in the 2015 Super Shoot top twenty, LV and HV: B&A-10. Jewell-30. So much for Jewell not being in the same league.
How can it be top twenty and have forty listed? Do you know how many times guys don't list what they are actually using. Sometimes they don't tell because they think they have an advantage with something. I know on our equipment lists a lot of listed stuff is wrong. Matt

The top 20 in each weight class. 40 shooters. The same way the equipment list is always posted. That is what is listed, and I won't accuse someone of being dishonest, unless it is blatantly clear.

"Coaching"

Who will you be coaching and why? I was under the impression that coaching, in benchrest, is not allowed.

Coaching at the line is not allowed. People from other countries need help with components they have never used before. I have friends and customers all over the world.

Interesting topic! I have several jewel's and am thinking of stepping up a bit. I was thinking of the Bix but after reading this topic the Flavio Fare sounds like an option. Does anyone have experience with this or perhaps a place it could be purchased?

I have one FF triggr for evaluation that I intensively tested on my trigger trsting bench, on 2 actions:
-A standard Remington 700
-A C.G 66 Delta with Belleville washerss FP drive.
Remmie gave a constant 40grames pull (1.43 oz)
C.G 66 = 48grammes (1.71 oz).

This is with trigger out of the box,and over 25 cyclings each.

My testing rest uses a Lyman electronic scale, made such as the contact on trigger blade is always same, a condition who cannot be reproduced whan hand testing operation.

Also, the scale movement is machanical on a slide, therefore, the moveement is also constant.

Variations from shot to shot were neglectible.

It shows that you are new to the forum and maybe fairly new to shooting.Hardly a day goes by without someone discussing trigger problems or innovations. The basics of the trigger squeeze are well known by the majority of forum members;many of us have thousands of dry fire hours under our belt. I think you should read the posts for a few more months before making such sweeping statements. Welcome to the forum,it has taught me a lot, Tom P.S. This was directed at the OP and was meant to be corrective, not aggressive.

;D had to chuckle a bit R.G.C only posts here and there a bit ,but for the people in the know he is a master action and trigger designer with a long list of actions and triggers under his belt.

Maybe you heard of his CG.22 triggers
