For those with an AR, unpin the upper for access. You can slip the case under the extractor and guide the case into the chamber and slowly push the BCG into battery (full rotation) and feel for drag.
Try for a no go fit, then a slight 'click' as the bolt rotates in, then bump a little more.
Having a tool, store bought or home made, to measure progress helps. Once you have the die set for the correct length, lock it down and check one more time.
