Fireing pin problem????

Would have chimed in earlier, but I saw Ggmac had spotted the issue with the bolt not closing properly. I had a friend who brought my a rifle with the same issue. He had dropped it into a mass-produced "Tupperware" stock and I found the bolt was being held from completely closing by the improperly cut bolt stub relief in the stock. Once that had been fixed, additional material needed to be removed from the bolt handle "channel" as well to keep the bolt handle body from interfering.

I have also seen wooden stocks inletted a little too perfectly so that there was insufficient clearance to the rear of the bolt handle stub to keep the wood from being cracked by the movement of even a .223 under recoil. It isn't much, but it is sudden and sharp. A little clearance is necessary.

Glad you seem to have your problem located. Good job Ggmac.
