Firefox problems with the forum software?

Alright, this is driving me nucking futs. Been using Firefox for a long while now - generally a good, solid, standards-compliant browser. Works well *everywhere*... except for here, on this forum.

Recently (last month or so) I've having an increasing amount of grief with it on this site. First it was throwing up Javascript errors whenever I tried to click on Alerts for new messages or the Inbox. Looking at the errors in the dev console, it looks like it's not loading some particular file (xenforo.js) that is specific to this site. Now it's giving me problems whenever I try to post something - throws up a dialog saying I need to be logged in to do that (I am!) and gives me the option to log in again - after which it errors out anyway, saying I need to be logged in.

Sometimes it works fine, some times not. Sometimes I can close the tab and reopen a new one, and it works fine. Sometimes I have to go use Google Chrome just to be able to post. I don't have a huge beef either way with one browser over the other - other than I generally 'trust' Mozilla / Firefox to data-mine me a little less.

Anyone else having issues like this? Firefox 80.0.1, Windows 10 Pro, all the latest updates.

Looks like XenForo isn't happy about FF blocking all it's damn trackers (Facebook, Twitter) and FF isn't happy about the lack of https - though to be fair, that came *after* the site tried blocking my attempt to post, saying I wasn't "logged in".

Having the exact same issue, same version Firefox, two different Win 10 computers. Threw in the towel on trying to solve it...MS Edge sucks but at least I can access and use Forum.

Had the same problem a month ago. I am running Windows 7 and Firefox. My problem started after I started using Duck Duck Go as a search engine instead of Goggle. First thing I did was to go back to Goggle. First couple of visits to this site worked normally then went back to the problem and log in messages you are talking about. Eventually figured out how to clear the Java Script console cache and all of the cookies in my memory and everything has been fine for the time being.

Interesting... I have been using DuckDuckGo for my search engine for years... though somewhere in the recent past that got 'turned off' ??? Re-enabled it, and things have gotten worse. Though the search engine for the browser *should* be totally unrelated to the forum software, unless theres something weird going on somewhere...

I'll try flushing everything <sigh>

Have been using DDG for over a year with no issues, had to check, and the issue above first showed up for me in July. Let me know if you figure it out.

I to have had this problem in the past using firefox. Each time i get this problem i simply switch then and there to bing. No firefox doesn't like it and yes it has tried to switch me back after my looking up a few things on bing. If you think google and firefox aren't the same thing you really need to take the time to actually search out who and what you are using, yes google has more information than others.

Google also has more contracts with the federal government than the others company's. And in the past it was know that those contracts came with concessions to the public's privacy.

Over the years google got so deep into our countries security aspect of things that more concessions have been made to allow them to "do their job".
If you are willing to take the time to do the work the information is still out there.

This message will self destruct in 15 seconds, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10,.

Clear your browser cache and internet files ("cookies and site data")

IMPORTANT -- clear your HISTORY -- this is a separate thing now.

Options > Privacy and Security > History > Clear History

Check your security settings that you haven't disabled something or blocked Javascript

We are running FF 80.0.1 with zero issues.

Suggests strongly the problem is how Firefox is configured on your machine.

Important >> suggest "Tracking Protection" set to standard.

This was posted using Firefox.

Based on some of your screenshots, you are blocking Javascript with your default settings.

BTW. we do NOT have Facebook or Twitter trackers. We do have a hardlink to our Facebook page. That's it.
