I have at least a 1/2 dozen Dasher tubes that I've used over the years. They are all .272 no turn chambers.
I am in the process of having a whole new rifle built. I chose a .268 chamber for the new build. I had 250 GOLD BOX 6BR brass that I sent to DJ's Brass Service to have hydro formed.
Now, knowing that these brass aren't 100% Fireformed yet and the necks will be different lengths, would it hurt to fire them one time in one of my .272 chambers to make them more uniform before turning? Obviously I would turn a couple pieces after ff ing to make sure they would fit in the new chamber.
Good idea? Bad idea?
