Minimum Fire Form Neck clearance for Dasher ?

Need to fireform some Lapua Dasher brass. .270 Chamber Neck. Loaded NK New Brass =.2687" is that enough clearance to fire form?? I would like to turn after fire formed.

I fire formed some BRX brass that had .001 clearance before turning and it worked fine.

I like to turn before forming. It is easier and if you turn to about 1/16 of an inch from the shoulder. When you fireform the turned part goes halfway into the shoulder. No donut that way. Matt

I agree putting the end of the turn in the shoulder is inviting.

I FF. with min. clearance, plus stop the neck turner to form a shoulder. I hold 1.550- 1.553 this way. Uniform blow is the first step in accurate Dasher brass…… jim
