I've had similar experiences with their shipping after joining the Edge program (I think that is what it is called). The new shipping system almost doubles the delivery time. I called them and spoke to a customer service supervisor type and complained at length. She was very understanding and admitted that they were working with the carriers to speed things up. 
I encourage everyone to call and complain! The Edge program with free shipping can turn my attention to them first instead of last, if they can deliver in a timely manner.

 It doesn't get it own truck/plane. Trust me that all the delivery companies UPS/FedEx/DHL/etc spend millions in time and effort every year to save money and make delivery more efficient, they even calculate down to the drivers neighborhood routes and how long the truck sits idling while the package is being signed for (fuel consumption).

		 Told them to get UPS to come and pick them up, was not going to waste my time taking the package to a post office.
