I’m headed to the PDog Towns of NM this 4th of July Weekend. I’m interested to see what everyone is shooting, post a pic or two of your favorite varmint rifles! Here are the two going with me this weekend (along with my Kidd 1022)

First is a custom 6mmBR aka “My Son” (I have three daughters)
Bat-B, Jewel Trigger, McMillan A5 stock, 1:8 Krieger

Second is my new 6x45 Ackley Improved aka “The Flea Shooter”
Tikka T3x receiver, Green Mountain 1:10 (profiled and chambered myself), MDT LSS Chassis, Magpul PRS Gen 3 Stock, Vortex Viper PST Scope

Here is my favorite. Stiller Predator V RBLP action bedded in a McMillan stock, Jewell trigger, Nightforce NXS 8-32, Krieger 8 tw barrel in 6BR, along with ranging binocs, Applied Ballistics software and Kestrel 5700 (now, pic shows old Kestrel)



Backup is a 22-250 , trued Rem700, Krieger barrel, Jewell trigger, bedded in a McMillan stock, Leupold 8.5-25.

Bought this Marlin 22LR a couple days ago to fend off ground Squirrels that are into the horse and mules grain bin, man what a blast & pretty darn accurate also...

Two budget minded varmint builds I did.
First is a standard 10/22 carbine that I modified, my go to truck gun.
- Milled out barrel channel, trimmed barrel strap off
- cut and chambered my own GM barrel blank (Bentz Reamer)
- cut Barrel vblock grove on mill (barrel cost $50), milled the bolt true
- bedded the receiver
- Kidd “Trigger Job Kit”

Second is a Zero Freebore 6BR (just joining the club), shoots beautifully.
- Ruger American SA Receiver
- Used and inspected Bartlein barrel (paid $20 From a 6ppc benchrest shooter and it has a lot of life left)
- Boyd’s At-One Stock, milled/bedded to fit and float barrel

Left is a 6mm Rem A.I. 26" 1:8
Right is a 223 26" 1:12, shoots 40 gr vmax at 3740 FPS under 1/2 MOA all day long- makes for fun day of gopher shooting, it has taken a few yotes as well, I now shoot the 6mm for coyotes mainly.
