I'll throw in some data for the guys that like light bullets. I had a 21 1/2" HS fluted barrel, light varmint), .265 neck match standard match chamber. I shot my 60's at 3550 with 33.5g of H335 with a 7 1/2 primer,205's too thin cupped for this load). My bullets have a .2433 shank with a .2436 pressure ring.

In a 27" barrel, this same load shot 3750 fps. Accuracy is extreme,Gene Harwood set a NBRSA 100 yd record with the 60's at 3700 fps with 335).

Due to variations in lots of 335, I would start off at 31.5g and work up. In the guns that I have shot, the hotter the load, the more accurate it got...every gun is different.
I have a Blue-Printed 700 action with a Kreiger 14 twist barrel and I'm working up loads for Ground Squirrels using 58gr. and 65 gr. V-Max bullets and H-335 or H-322. I'm not a Bench Rest Shooter but Gene Harwood was one of my best friends and his Interior and Exterior Ballistics Knowledge was phenomenal. We shot thousands of ground squirrels over the years, and I do miss him more than I can say. Gene's actually the one who first designed and started the 17 HMR Cartridge along with Steve Chernicky.

My 6BR has a Hart barrel, also 14 twist. It's been many years and don't remember which powders I tried. The one that's been magic in this barrel is 2230, with 58Vm and 55Bk. Only on pd's and some rockchucks, but they should be, ahh, very spectacular on groundsquirrels. These are hot loads but the most accurate.
