According to Tests:
The P320 CANNOT, under any circumstances, discharge without the trigger first being moved to the rear. This has been verified through exhaustive testing by SIG SAUER engineers, the U.S. Military, several major federal and state law enforcement agencies, and independent laboratories.
Let me reframe that opening sentence
CANNOT _ WITHOUT_ first being moved to the rear
Does not matter if it's only 1mm or 5mm
Guys who don't have trigger discipline
Have not engrained into muscle memory, "finger on the frame"
or those type of people who like to rest their finger on the trigger
or whether it even has a HAIR trigger like mine does
etc
---"CANNOT under ANY circumstances"---
discharge without FIRST the trigger being moved
Everyone understand?
think of it as a hair trigger
You can either handle one or not
if not you will always have accidental discharges
Accidental touching, finger resting on the trigger = USER ERROR
---
If a person ACCIDENTALLY, touches the trigger at all while drawing the gun - That in itself is User error.
If they do so - And it goes off
Sorry to inform all the uneducated - is still user error
Finger on the frame - OFF the trigger ALWAYS and FOREVER , until ready to fire
--------------
The user needs to be aware of how to handle a P320 if it does not have a safety
I believe thats the bigger issue, User error
--------------
I've done a Light Trigger Job and Trigger Spring Kit on my P320
Still reliable with no issues
And people who drop their weapons, really need more weapon manipulation discipline
Maybe I need to buy another one before Sig changes and ruins a good platform based on user error
Just like the whole Rem 700 Walker trigger conspiracy debacle - most of all that being user error
