F-class scope what would you get

Well i am having a tizzy of an F-class rifle made up. I am not cheeping up on a think. A Full Custom rifle made by one of the finest smiths out there.

Now I have a 6-24x50 Burris Black Diamond...I kind of like the 1/8 clicks.

However if I can get a better scope that will hold POI better and have as good or better glass...why not.

I am already into a First class f-class rig for $$$$! Why not go top shelf all the way!

So what you put on top of this rig. Action is Stolle, barrel is 30 inch Krieger. Ian Robertson F-class stock.

Nightforce, Zeiss Divari..other?

Enlight me...I will take into consideration and thanxs!

Mo' magnification is called for. If you like the 1/8th-MOA clicks, it seems like you've narrowed the field down to an 8-32 or 12-42 NF, benchrest model.

If you really need the side-focus, there is the NXS, but it cost more and only has 1/4-moa clicks.

Until Zeiss or somebody comes out with a 30+ power zoom, the NF is the class of the field. I've talked to a lot of top shooters and they all love that scope and consider it a definite upgrade from an 8-25x50 Leupold LRT.

with a 20 MOA base or rings on a stolle action I can get to 1k right?

I don't want to run out of elevation...any chance you know how much they got in them?

I will be a running a pretty flat shooting 6.5x.284's...so 27 MOA up or so.

I think that you will be disappointed in the Black Diamond's limited adjustment. I have a 8-32x50 Black diamond, but really like my 8-30x56 NF BR a lot better or my 6.5-20X50 LR Leupold. My Leupold doesn't seem to have problems with the reticle not plumb or the side focus creating problem, I have read that quite a number do. I have the Burris on a varmit gun and it has the ballistic mil-dot that allows me to use the lower crosshairs for longer shots without adjusting for the ups. I think that the NF BR scope is a lot of scope for the money. all Of their reticles are lighted and available at no extra cost.. You can get the 8-32 delivered at a cup of Starbuck's less than $1100. The 12-42 isn't a whole lot more. I don't read about problems with them either especially compared to the leupolds problems mentioned above and just general problems with the Burris. Of course if you want really want to spend more money, you can always buy the USA Optics, Schmidt-Bender or other high end European glass which will take another $1000 or 2 or 3 more. JimDee
PS: The only thing that I see you give up when you choose the NF BR over the nsx is the side focus and the 1500 foot pounds recoil testing,BR 'only' 1200fp). NF's are also bigger and heavier than most anything else in the price range. If you are pushing a weight limit then....... Good luck
