Who made the Savage stock?

My two F-Open rifles. The Viper SS 6BR is used for Mid-Range and the new BAT 3LL147OCTPIC .284 Shehane has only 50 rounds fired and is unchristened in competition. It will likely see action at the 29 Palms Long Range Regional in November.

Out of 50 fire-forming loads today, the BAT managed several sub-.3 MOA five-shot groups at 100 in a 10-15 mph wind. Loads were H4831 SC around 2800. All cases blew out nicely.

The Viper SS has a 30" Bartlein 5R HV and Shehane ST1000 stock. The BAT has a 32" Krieger 1.25" straight in a Manners F-Class. The Sightron will be replaced with a new S&B 12-50.

Parent case is the 6mm Rem, it's basically a 6mmAI but with 32 degree shoulder.

An awful lot of work care and attention went into it, it shoots very very well and tracks like nothing else.

here is another, curly maple and walnut, Richard Franklin's 008 Thumbhole, BAT action (diamond bolt) 6x47Swiss match, 8 twist Kreiger scarily accurate, I have 1.5" group targets at 600 and groups in the .3's at 300.

I must say having seen Gary's (Glc) stock in the flesh it is a thing of beauty.

The finish is a custom spray job, done by a guy who had never done a rifle stock before, he's currently doing another one for me.
The colour is Midnight purple running into a silver grey to match the bead blasted barrel.

Hi Zipollini,

I owned an HPS stock for a while but just couldn't get comfortable, some of our National Laegue shooters love them, they are very well made.
