Extreme Anti-Gun Measure 114 on Oregon Ballot

That Oregon ballot won't come close to passing. The media just hyped it up for political reasons.

Perhaps, perhaps not.

But consider that (essentially) the same electorate that voted in the hired staff into the state legislature is going to be voting directly on Measure 114. It's entirely possible the thing will garner enough votes to pass. All but certain to get signed into law by the state governor, if it does.

The "common-sense" messaging is going full-throttle in the media, right now, to influence as many people into voting against the Constitution's constraints as possible.

Right On! It's not over till it's Over!

A new article in The DailyMail/UK even describes Portland as "one of the wokiest" cities in the US.
couple weeks ago, they had a good write up on eastern oregon secession to join Idaho and maybe eastern washington...state of Jefferson, expanded basically.
I was amazed how many foreign commentors had a better idea of failing US liberal policies and lies plus the media than about 49-51% of the US population. Including knowledge of the west/left coast problems.
Pray for Oregon!!!

Thank you Mr. Bond. It is good to know that there are still some rational people in the world, even if they aren't on the west side of Oregon where they are needed most at this time.

People here should also consider that while the NRA has helped us here in Oregon in the past when needed they may not be able to do so this time simply because of the problems it has now because of the outright greed of the people who control the NRA at this time.

I will leave it at that for now.

1/2 the oregon population lives in the ‘greater portland area’, which is 1/10 the state's area. Of that crowd only 2% are those depicted in news as derelicts and fire bombing atifas. The rest are non-the above. So go figure guys. Thr ones who were tricked are now seeing the results and will vote moderate to conservative. Either way it will be a step to reversal. Oregon is ahead of the game. The idahos etc have their time coming

I hope that's a significant number. But with Oregon being like it is with such a great number of people voting woke/wonky, this time around I doubt the newly-wised-up types will win the day.

I truly feel for the citizens in Oregon. Their so-called "leaders" have buried the RKBA from where it once was, to say nothing of allowing the criminal element to run roughshod over the upstanding. (How anyone survives a week without a dire threat, in Portland's "downtown" area nowadays, I'll never know.)

Still, they wanted it. They've now got it. Hopefully a great percentage of the head-in-sand types finally pull the finger out and vote to correct this mess they've brought onto everybody. I doubt it, yet, as the pain and suffering hasn't gotten nearly bad enough to sway a million such people the other way. But that day's coming, even if it's not this time around.

I think the entire voting process stinks and is the reason we have Brandon and many others where they are today.
These absentee ballots with lax if any proof of identification must be addressed before
we can trust the results at all.
I listened to a clip earlier today talking about the level of corruption in our system in both political parties and he concluded that they are like 2 cheeks of the same a&& and that ALL elections are rigged. Hope he's wrong!

February 9am: The Oregon Supreme Court declined to exercise authority (rule) on the Harney case. The Opinion cites:

  • " ... resolution is underway in the trial court; our only determination today is that now is not an appropriate time to exercise our authority in mandamus in connection with the trial court’s temporary and preliminary rulings. The petition for a writ of mandamus is denied without prejudice. The motion for stay is dismissed as moot without prejudice."

And yes it will be contested by the bozo's who wrote it in the first place. However here on the East side of the state, life does on with our gun dealers using the federal rule on selling and buying.

Things are calm here in whats still America, Eastern Oregon.
Well said! If the violence gets bad enough in Portland they will wish they were armed. What an ace move defunding the police! Perfect timing for the idiots on the west side. Hopefully they will come to their senses.

I am beginning to have a new possible theory about the whole anti-gun agenda.
(Oh no, here we go again).
I have MSNBC as my home page and they are as left wing as they come and have
for years promoted the anti-gun agenda on a daily basis as strongly as possible.
Now, over the last six months or so, they have posted story after story after story
that lean toward the rationality of owning firearms and even going as far as advertising
new firearms in a very positive manner about the features of these new products and even articles about the positive features of older weapons.
They still over publicize and over sensationalize any negative firearm related stories they can find but I have to ask Why the positive change about firearms?
Then yesterday, there was a story about 2 republican political office holders from the
state of New Jersey that were shot dead within a couple of days of each other.
That would of course enrage one side while the other side would applaud.
The theory is, maybe since they haven't been able to disarm the American people fast
enough or create as many more "infringements" as they want, they are trying to encourage more lefties to arm up and then create a civil war in this country that could bring on martial law. Hope I'm WRONG!
I just know that the definition of the word "government" is mind control.

"Oregon leans Democratic as a state, with both U.S. senators from the Democratic party, as well as four out of Oregon's five U.S. Representatives. The Democratic candidate for president has won in Oregon in every election since 1988." Wikipedia

So you tell me what's gonna happen? Sadly, you can expect anti-gun legislation to win in this state.

Current Status:

February 9pm: BM114 On HOLD – Federal and State cases will go to full trial.

  • With the decision this morning by the Oregon Supreme Court not to intervene in the State case, US Federal District Court Judge Immergut has cancelled the Feb 22-24 federal hearings to address the topic of preliminary injunctions against BM114. Instead, the Federal cases will move to full trial (as will the State case) at a time to be determined (possibly May-June).

  • In the meantime, BM114 is held by the previous Harney court decision.

What’s next?

Both sides will prepare for full trial at date to be determined. We suspect the May-June time frame.

Meanwhile BM114 is blocked

Just remember that as long the Democrats are in Power Your Grandaughter is Garenteed a Abortion Pill. So just keep Voting.

Funny that Roe vs Wade was a Texas issue, and loss. And the 1973 Supreme Court was majority Repblican/conservative. ( 6 repub to 3 dem). Final vote 7:2 for.

Keep the church out of the state. There are as many christian church groups that support abortion as oppose. ( ie: Mormons against and Protestants pro). FYI

And the who issue is not about morals/religion but a woman's right to choose.
