I'm a redneck Oregonian. But if my 15yr old granddaughter got raped and impregnated by a mentally retarded derelict, then I would prefer to have the option of not being forced to raise that baby. I believe in the separation of church and state, unlike Idaho.
That Oregon ballot won't come close to passing. The media just hyped it up for political reasons.
BATFE must not have gotten that memo. At least with everybody who's ever had a "permission slip" applied for or issued, or had a background check made for a purchase of a firearm, more than rumor has it BATFE doesn't trash those records. Kept for who knows how long, that effectively amounts to a registry, with the exception of people not going through FFL/checks and those not buying.
Sort of semantics, at this point. I wish they would have to show their records every 3mos, to ensure they're not keeping stuff beyond the dictated timelines. (Along with swearing an oath the records are true and complete, along with severe penalties both personal and professional for any lying with such.) But with shysters and computers being how they are ...

All the brain-dead libtards in Portland and Eugene will most likely get this passed. If it does, we're all hoping it will get rejected by all the county Sheriffs and end up in litigation because it is indeed unconstitutional in every regard.

If people can not see the direction that Wash DC is headed, they are totally blind and ignorant. The government, especially those in the Oval office, Senate and Congress are following the course set by the likes of Hitler and Stalin. Total control of the people, with bans and confiscation not only of guns, but many other things to come i.e. Freedom of speech, etc. maybe even a small tattoo on the forearm, as Hitler did to number folks for various reason and needs of the government.

Also, separation of church and state means the government can't establish a state religion. It doesn't prohibit the government from establishing law that certain religious people might like.
Regardless, it's the science that has shown us that fetal viability occurs very early in a pregnancy, and that is what has persuaded most of the nation to reject unlimited abortion.
I would think a real redneck would know all the above........

The measure could pass because the majority of voters are completely ignorant of Measure 114, and will only take a few seconds to read the summary.
