External lip on case mouth, how proper chamfering?

Hello,
When I trim my cases with Lee Case Length Gauge, on the external side of the case mouth come up a big lip very hard to remove with MCJ Rocket type chamfering and deburring tool ad Lee tool.

So please can someone advice me how I can completely remove this external lip?

P.S. please no Giraud or other expensive/more stuff solution

Thanks

The rocket type tools are quite poor at outside trimming. I think it’s because it doesn’t cut the edge as much as scrape at it. I’ve never studied the results under a magnifier but I think it’s breaking off high points and that’s good enough. I also find I have to push harder and longer than the inside operation, which is actually cutting metal.

I hadn't heard the term "rocket type" but I think I know what you are referring to. I have one of those that I bought in the 70's. It is mark "RCBS by L.E. Wilson". It still works quite well. A few years ago I bought a new RCBS which was made by ????. It didn't work very good. It didn't cut the brass at all. I called RCBS and they replaced it. The replacement didn't work either. So I'm staying with the L.E. Wilson made tool I bought 50 years ago.

Thanks for your insight. I have experienced this and wondered about a different tool

I’ve been using the Lyman version for a few years and it works OK. There must be a better tool out there but I haven’t found it yet.

I didn't think so, I was convinced that the op was looking for something to remove the swarf on the outside of the case mouth after trimming. What am I missing ?
Mine screen is connected to Hodgdon 4895 powder?

Hello, thanks for all yours reply and yours experiences.
Paradoxically the Lee chamfering and deburring tool work Better than the MCJ rocket type tool.
The cuttung are fine and the Lip are remover far better than MCJ.
On my future buyng I plan to buy one rocket type by LE Wilson or Forster hoping that work better than the MCJ.

On the inner of the mouth all work ok, Vld Lyman, MCJ, Lee....

I also bought one of the RCBS " rocket type" trimmers made by LE Wilson company many years ago. Under much heavy usage in the last two years, it has dulled.

Rather than buy a new one, I found that with a fine sharpening stone, you can polish the internal cutting flutes to where they will cut again as good as new. The outside cutting flutes haven't needed polishing yet, so I am not sure if that can be done.

Thanks for your feedback, I can make a test of sharpening on my MCJ
