CZs didn't always have a large following in the US, lol - not because of anything to do with quality, but simply they did not have a US importer. The CZ 83 I mentioned in a post above, that my oldest grand daughter now loves, came into the US at a time when the number of them in this country and the model number probably weren't that much different, and essentially all of them came from the same source - GIs bought them at the Rod and Gun Shop of the Base Exchange in Frankfurt, Germany while on assignment over there. Just a piece of "early" history of CZs over here; that would have been approximately the early to mid 1980s.
