I don't know about the rest of you guys, but did you note that wind estimate (18 - 30mph) and watch the flags going nuts downrange? Talk about reading wind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that takes talent under those conditions.

Congrats Erik. Could you tell me how much ammo you brought with you or did you load some while you were there?

I brought 350 loaded rounds but only needed about 325 including sighters. The reason I brought 350 is because of how my brass is separated. I had two boxes with 100 each and two boxes with 75 each.

Erik, what was your rifle cleaning routine at the Berger SW Nationals.

I like consistency so I clean every night. I use patch out with accelerator to clean my gun.

Do you ever worry about the gun settling to deposit copper and carbon down the barrel? In my guns, some take 4-10 shots to settle, some take up to 30-40 to really start printing tight groups.

No. I know my gun, and the first shot on a clean barrel will be 1 MOA low. The rest after that will be fine.

ERIK < again thank you on your ideas on how to keep track of switch barrel zero's " But again that's why you get paid the "Big" bucks,lol.. maybe voodoo ? coues52 Danny

After doing a little looking/watching some vid's I made a bullet/case gauge. I had the epoxy on hand. I set up my new Wilson seater with it.

Thanks, Gabe

Edit: need a link to the BG sorting tool..

Erik,

How do you determine the start point for your initial zero setting?

Good info, thanks for sharing.

I don't understand your question. What I do is turn the scope turret all the way down until it stops. Be careful not to force it or you will damage the scope. When you get to the bottom of the elevation turret travel, zero the turret there.
