Eliseo Tube Gun for Rimfire

Has anyone tried the AN1, Hall or R1(using 40x action)?
I understand the centerfire versions are popular, but have not seen any rimfires.

I built one. It's the only true smallbore rifle I've had so I cannot give a comparison to non-tube stocks. I thought I was going to build a tube prone rifle so I went that route with the smallbore, turns out I went with Quadlocks. My high power prone rifles are all regular stocks and I am just as comfortable with them. The only recommendation I can think of is keep stocks similar, all tube or all conventional.

A friend has an Eliseo 40X rimfire he shoots occasionally. One prone match he was on his way to a 1600 when a round dropped out the bottom at 100 - appeared to be ammo.

I built an AN1 for indoor smallbore league shooting during the off-season months. Used a NIB 1813 barreled action sourced from Mac Tilton, it's a great platform for somebody who likes the adjustability inherent in Gary's designs. Thru last year I shot my CG1 kit-built rifle for Palma, the fit & feel is identical save for recoil of course.

LHH, out of curiosity, where are you? I'd be willing to let you 'test drive' my AN1 though not if it involves shipping....

I put together a F-T/R trainer to match my Eliseo B1. This is one of Gary's H1 chassis:

It absolutely effects accuracy. Anything you hang on the barrel will change the vibrations; good or bad. This is why folks flip them upside down rather than removing them to shoot scope(any).

I agree Mark, I was going to say that is exactly why people use them. Conversely I built my Eliseo with Gary's tuner extension but never installed the weight. I found my rifle shot well enough with the lots of ammo I bought to use it as is. I am not an Olympic level smallbore prone shooter so it meets my needs by a good margin.

Last weekend I shot my 1813/2213 any rifle in a local 1600 match. This was the first time out with it's BeeSting tuner. The rifle normally shoots pretty well, but I wanted to see if it could be improved. So after shooting a couple of hundred rounds looking for the sweet spot, performance was worse. It looks like I have more testing while using the chronograph in my future.

At the same match a friend shot a 2013 in a wood stock that hadn't performed well. He was planning to drop it off for bedding and anything necessary this week. But for this match he added a RightSight and it came to life.

The mysteries and miseries of shooting smallbore.
