Electronic Scales travel and positional sensitivity

I travel around with my electronic reloading scales and as much as I try to treat them as directed and with precious care, inevitably they will be vibrated and jostled to some extent, and worst scenario tilted sideways or worse.

The scales in question I use are the Lyman Gen6 and a set I use for check comparison.

What are the limitations of these scales? ++

I don’t think electronic scales have a problem traveling or are positional sensitive, if that was true, you could never buy them through the mail.
Having said that, you obviously should have them well padded and I would also suggest vacuuming to get rid of any loose kernel of powder that may be sitting next to the pan or especially under the pan as these could potentially get inside the scale to cause all kinds of problem. What I find works well is to hold the scale with one hand and use a shop vac nozzle close to but not touching the scale pan. Calibrating the scale before any use regardless of whether you have travelled with it is always good advice.
If you do it frequent enough, you will be able to do it almost blind folded and in less than 30 seconds so no reason not to do it.
