I'm so old I don't want a vehicle with a computer in it.

I looked at a new Tundra the other day. Sales "person" went on and on about the size of the screen in the cab and all the other techno BS. I told him I'd like to have one without all the BS. He/she/it stared at me in total disbelief. No, I wasn't kidding.I'm so old I don't want a vehicle with a computer in it.

I'm nearly there. I drive a 2007 Tacoma extra cab, 4.0 engine, 6 speed. Only 117K on it, still tight and runs like a striped ass ape. I told my wife the other day, I always wanted an old Toyota 4x4, hell.... I have one! 22R's were some of the best engines ever built, bar none.I'd love a Toyota Hilux from the 90s. Stick Shift, 22R Engine ... I'd even take a 4x2.
Im waiting for one that can tow 30K lbs and go 500 miles on a chargeI need one to pull my trailer.
Not an owner but, pictures are worth a thousand words…. Just Sayin..Been reading up on these and not sure what to believe ? I would rather hear it from an owner. Two sides to every story
Given your stated requirements, I wouldn't even consider any EV with current battery technology. Hybrid Yes. All electric No. The low end of your stated range is close to the maximum of current EV truck ranges, and that's under ideal conditions WITHOUT Trailer.300-1500 miles.
One question you may want to get answered ahead of time is will there be a charge for recycling the battery pack when it's reached the end of its life or, conversely, is there a rebate for the expired battery for value of the rare metals it contains. Not likely in my lifetime… hopefully in yours!300-1500 miles.
Hard to imagine current battery technology in aviation considering that unlike liquid fuels whose weight is shed as it’s consumed, battery weight doesn’t change as charge density decreases…Im waiting for Airforce One to go EV, then I might consider it...
