Not for meat hauling but use it to pack my gear up and down the mountain. Very comfortable and can haul a lot of gear. Like putting my rifle in the scabbard to have my hands free especially in the dark. Works great for my purposes and as to my first sentence I have not used it for meat hauling, only to pack gear which it does to my satisfaction. You can get add ons for it too.
