Dual port action suggestions?

I’m looking to have a hunting rifle built with a dual port, right bolt, left eject repeater. Does anyone make one of those? I like and prefer Borden, does he make something like that? Other recommendations?

Coyote hunting. I hate to lose brass so I always reach over the scope after a shot with my left hand to grab the brass and half the time it causes the brass to stay in the action, causing more of a mess and delay.

Get someone to tune the ejector spring in one of the rifles you have. I tune the springs in my predator rifles to clear the brass and not sling them all over the place. I shot a triple about 2 months ago and when the dust settled all three of the cases were laying by my right knee in about a 4 inch circle. It's not a difficult task to tune one.

What cartridge are you going to use?

You can look at a zermatt action. You can get a right bolt left port from them. I’ve shot one and it is nice to be able to see in the port as your shooting and makes catching the brass easy.

I have done that, what I mean is I clipped coils off until I had it where I want it. I would just rather them go straight into my hand instead of on the ground. I have a picture of a stand I got four on at night and the brass was in a 3-4’ spread, from swinging the rifle around on the tripod to get on the next one etc. So they got stepped on and whatnot.

They make one for a bolt gun? Link?
Google search for brass catchers and you will find they typically attach to a picatinny rail regardless of firearm action type. Properly adjusted, you will achieve cycling of the bolt/pump/semi-auto action without any interference.

I have a brass catcher (Caldwell?) with velcro straps that would probably fit around a bolt gun, but I've never tried it. There are some ambi catchers, but not as many as right handed. I say this for your left eject comment. Either way, you could always make something work and I sure wouldn't make it The Driving Force behind your decision. But, HYOH.

I guess my brain is not working properly today but I can’t understand how a dual port receiver will cure the problem of losing the brass on the ground if it still ejects. A loading port is redundant in a magazine fed receiver unless you remove the magazine and turn it into a single shot by placing a single shot loading ramp in it. It will still eject the brass on the ground. To me the solution would be to tune the ejection or remove the ejector and remove the fire case by hand.
Tell me what I’m missing.

Yeah, maybe I wasn’t clear. Right now, after I shoot I reach my left hand over top the scope/rifle to the right port to grab the brass as it comes out. With a right bolt left port I wouldn’t have to reach over I could just grab it with my left hand on the left hand side. The dual port part of it wouldn’t be a necessity, I just would rather get it for a just in case than to wish I had. Does that make sense?

Most receivers that are right bolt-left port will still eject out the right side of the rifle. Left port is a loading port. You will need a custom receiver that has the left port large enough for ejected cases and you will have to use a custom right bolt that has extractor/ejector reversed so the the empty cartridge will go out the left side. I would think very expensive...a lot cheaper to loose a few rounds of brass.
