DTacs or 105/107 6mm

Iam going to build a 6cm for F class, so are Dtacs realy any better in real world terms than the 105/ 107 range 6mm heads.

Seems the Dtacs are tricky to get to shoot well from the posts i have looked through .

would it not be better to push 105s faster?

From my .243 and 6XC I have had great luck with DTACs (coated) out to 1000 yds.. Jumped .020" pushed to around 2990 fps with CCI BR2s or Fed. 210Ms. Used Reloader 25 in the former and Reloader 17 in the XC.
That being said, John Whidden has done extremely well (three time Long Range champ) with Berger 105s pushed faster.

I have used the 115 DTACs exclusively in my 243 based cartridges. Running them from 2950 - 3100 fps, they shoot very well. I have always used the coated bullets in my rifles.

My bullets are loaded long (I jam them in the rifling) and have had very consistent accuracy a 1K.

They are a lot less fussy to get them to group well than any of the VLD types that people shoot. Just my opinion.

How far out of the case mouth, are you seating? I mean the measurement from case mouth to the end of the bullet.

From the case mouth to the tip of the bullet is .875". My 243 SLR is throated for the 115 gr bullets.

H4831sc and N165 have been two successful powders for me.

The naked 115 DTAC hasn't been tricky for me out of my 6CM. If you follow joesr and some of the fella's that tested this caliber, you will fall upon where they will shoot out of your barrel accurately.
