.243 AI Barrel Life & Ballistics

A friend and myself are in the process of building 6 x 47's for F-class. Since we have wide open spaces in Namibia for hunting medium/small size game, with lot's of opportunity, we also want to build two 6mm screamers.
a) Would the .243 AI be a suitable/appropriate choice?,We intend shooting only 105/107/115/117 gr's
b)The choice will be influenced by ease of forming cases, cost of setup etc.
c) Can anyone provide reputable information on barrel life and speed of the .243 AI?
