If you have them install a stainless barrel you won't need to ceracote unless that's an extra step that you want. If you want a chrome moly barrel, those come "in the white". Therefore after you get it back from Douglas, you will need to blue it yourself, pay for it to be blued, or pay for coating.If I sent them my action to chamber and install a barrel then I will need to send the action and barrel to someone for nitriding or cericoating.
Any suggestions would be useful.
Back in june when i did mine, the prices were not the same as the internet showed. I don't remember exactly what they were, but price was a big part of my concern while I was shopping around. I still decided to go with Douglas after I did the math along with adding in wait times from other outfits.When was the last time the website was updated? Cause if I can get work done on one of their barrels for even remotely that much I’d get a whole stable of them.
