If you have them install a stainless barrel you won't need to ceracote unless that's an extra step that you want. If you want a chrome moly barrel, those come "in the white". Therefore after you get it back from Douglas, you will need to blue it yourself, pay for it to be blued, or pay for coating. If I sent them my action to chamber and install a barrel then I will need to send the action and barrel to someone for nitriding or cericoating.
Any suggestions would be useful.
Back in june when i did mine, the prices were not the same as the internet showed. I don't remember exactly what they were, but price was a big part of my concern while I was shopping around. I still decided to go with Douglas after I did the math along with adding in wait times from other outfits. When was the last time the website was updated? Cause if I can get work done on one of their barrels for even remotely that much I’d get a whole stable of them.
Edit: just requested a quote. Don’t mind me. Not trying to hi jack thread.

Is that a 'cross the course' stock? If a few "zero" 3 shot groups at 50 yards in my Uber custom sleeved rem 582, converted to centerfire Anschutzy looking thing in 7.9x29 (9mm mag necked down to 32 cal) is any indication, I think they're ok.
Just an old Anschutz 3 position stock I think, the guy I bought it from wasnt exactly sure...it was just a takeoff he acquired. Is that a 'cross the course' stock?
