Dot or cross hair?

Which do you prefer for long range precision? Why? Please feel free to be as detailed as you want. Thanks

For long distance varminting I really like the dot, especially if it's in a NP-2DD Nightforce.... Some of the others I've used seem to have to much in the way, and have a tendency to hide things way out there....

I like the 1/8 moa dot.....

I like a 1/8 dot and fine cross hair equally well. Don't care for a dot any larger than 1/8 though cause they obstruct the target too much. A fine crosshair can be a problem too if it is too fine and you can't see it very well. I had that problem with a Weaver 36x. I think the higher quality the glass, the finer crosshair you can get away with.
