Does Anyone Secure Their Beam Scale?...If So, How?

RCBS 505 beam scale. My worktop is MDF counter with some type of clear over it - and it's pretty slick. If I bump my scale while in use, it will slide easily. I've found that moving it around can change the zero just slightly - meaning work top isn't 100% flat/level.

Searches for securing beam scale all seem to lead to normal set up info. Anyone else ever faced this and come up with a clever solution? My best thought so far is to glue a few blocks to my counter that would act to retain the scale in place.

Take some blue painters tape and place a strip under the leveling screw and also the two chassis balance points to keep it from sliding around.

Thank you both for the replies JFrank and GLShooter. I tried both and they definitely improved the tendency to slide. I actually had one of those sticky pads that is silicone and sticks to your car dashboard but is fully removable and reusable. Typically to keep phone from sliding around while driving. That thing is the real deal! Completely eliminated sliding. Would not have remembered about it without the mouse pad suggestion.

I use those felt "buttons" with adhesive on one side placed in a similar way described in post #3. They have sufficient height to restrict movement and adhesive makes them immovable.

I painted a cinder block with rubberising/waterproofing paint- non-slip and raises the scale closer to eye level and adds some heft to the scale to setup so it wont move on table

Take a counter sink in your drill and make dimples for the feet. They don't have to be deep just a little will do.
I used a carbide burr to do the same thing in a red brick. I needed
a little more height and a brick was perfect

I keep mine in the cupboard above my laundry machines. Just open up the cupboard, and it's always at eye level. Never moves.

I made a plywood base that the scale sits in which I then clamp to the bench. It's easy to take to out of town matches where I load in the motel room. Once it's clamped it's pretty stable.

Some similar and some unique solutions. Really appreciate everyone sharing their approach to stabilizing a beam scale!!

similar to another posters idea in this attached picture, I wouldn't attach it but I would make it more stable and it won't get bumped .
I rarely have to adjust mine and it resolves "consistently" to the kernel...I found a clear plastic box with close to the same shape as a dust cover. The granite slab is just scrap from a counter top guy I use.

The large chassis 1000 gr scales are pretty stable and don’t need much attention, it’s the smaller 500 gr series that get crashed the most often. ( at my shop anyway )

A little off topic but my scale sits on a plywood shelf at eye level. I noticed that the zero would change slightly when moved around on the shelf. I spent some time getting the scale perfectly level and adjusting the weight in the pan hanger until it was perfectly zeroed. This made my changing zero go away.
I realize perfect isn't perfect but as close as I could get it.
