Do you sort brass by number of firings

+1 on what Rsadams posted. I sort by number of times fired and by brass maker. I'm new to loading and want to get some sort of idea on how many firings I am getting (an average life span). And I know different makers' brass 'wears' differently (so sort by brand). I don't reload any range brass. My brass starts out as factory loaded.

I keep my cases separated by number of firings. I also anneal every firing.
So far I have one batch with 18 firings and another with 3 firings. So I feel it is important to keep them separate.
Have you shot back to back the 18X fired brass compared to the 3X fired? My guess is there too many variables to measure any variance in accuracy.

Actually I was thinking about that, I shoot both sets, alternating between matches at 500 yards. Don't shoot much at my practice range where I could reduce distance and thereby environmental impacts. To be honest, I can't say that I see any difference. Most likely because I am still developing as a shooter and I can see that in my scores, they are slowly rising. But, really, the only way that I could say there was possibly a difference would be to mount my rifle in a fixture and test both back to back.
I think the performance difference may appear all at once or may not show at all. But I still would not want to mix them. As I know that as I start to see the older set fail, I will at one point retire the whole batch for safety if for no other reason.
