What do you use for die? I picked up laminated bamboo boards that I plan on glueing into a blank. I’m hoping for strength and light weight. I would like to do, or have done. A desert sunset pattern on the stock.Got home from priming a walnut xringstock,

That’s a very handsome stock!
I'm with you on style of stocks, and hunting.I see myself leaning toward the traditional hunting stock. I do like a wider forearm for setting the gun on something. My hunting is sitting on the military crest of a hill overlooking a huge clear cut. Usually with a camera and dog. I see a couple of M40 stocks in the future but plain walnut, that's a stretch.
