Do it yourself Stock making thread

...and I put it together so I can shoot it tomorrow. I’ll oil it more later. It’s pillar bedded but still has the factory 8 twist Varmint barrel. No time to load for it so I’ll sight it in with factory ammo for now.
Edit: I couldn’t stand it, so I loaded some test rounds with Varget and Sierra 77s.
My wife was whining in the background! “All I can hear is clunk clunk!”

That is some pretty walnut.
It is a nice piece. I got lucky with the board. I was going to carve it up a different way but stopped and took a harder look at it. It’s the real joy of this hobby. Carving away at a hunk of wood and having something useful AND handsome at the end.
I have to say “thanks for the offer” to Bc’z. I thought long and hard but finally decided to sand this one to 1000 and oil it. With the mail these days, it might get lost or broken.

Beautiful work!

Not quite up to your flash standards Bc'z but hey it keeps me out of trouble.
Lmao @ keeping out of trouble, it's my middle name. Just ask my wife!!
Dont sell yourself short, it looks great.
I always enjoy looking at other people's ideas come to life in thier work. It helps blossom ideas of my own. Thank you for that.
I'll be honest with ya, I had to use the Googler to learn about "Mutant Crystals".
Very similar to a product by Exotic that is no longer available to me.
I'll be checking with TCP Global and see what I can get my hands on.
And I know just the guy to try it out on.
He's tasked me with white as main body color.
I'll be forwarding a link to him to check out.

Another product I'm wanting to try is made by Alsa Corp, it's a spray on chrome.
Think about candy on a mirror?!!
It will be time consuming and tedious and have to be done in 3-4 different layers.
Price is a lil high too @ $120 for 8oz sprayable product.
