DIRECTION 6PPC WHAT TO DO

I purchased a Panda 6PPC some time ago and haven't shot it yet. I've been deciding what to do. I reload have everything dies etc and barrel is .262 I've come to the conclusion I need to keep it and at least shoot it for a season to decide. I do not have any brass and I'd like to either buy some brass or buy the tools new or used from someone to turn the brass myself. If anyone can tell me exactly what I need to purchase. I've done some checking Pumpkin, PMA or K and M and anything else that's good. Also any pet loads might be a great start. Thanks

Pma adjustable great tool for the money . Plus the men at pma will help you with any info needed. Plus as far as loads get some bergers 68gr some n133 or 8208 read a little start low and work up a load is best way to load. I shoot n133 27.3 gr touching lands shoots great in my panda with a heart barrel. P1zoombiekiller on this forum sells prepared brass already turned to your specs. Look him up

The guys i shoot with found me a gun (hall 6ppc)and worked up a load with H322 and 65 grain bergers. They beat me last shoot but they had to run me out of ammo and shoot several rounds more to do it. Shoot the gun and enjoy it you will love it, aint nothing like shooting a 5 shot group you can cover up with an asprin.

If you send me your mailing address, I'll send you some brass for freebies, but it is "as is".

.......and with a little wind doping and meticulous handloading skills, being able to shoot those small groups over and over again.......PRICELESS :)

I recomend buying brass that has been turned already. Hoehn, P1 Zombie killer (on this forum) etc.

I also just purchased a Panda 6ppc.
I ordered prepped brass from Hoehn Sales. It looks really good already to load and fireform.
Don'r forget to try the brass in the chamber. The bolt should close snugly but not forced. If to tight bump the shoulder .001 to .003 till the bolt closes snugly.

IMHO N-133 will frustrate a newby, I would highly recommend H322 for those 68 gr. Bergers

Agreed...and 8208 did not work that well in my Nesika J/Kreiger. H322 started shooting good right away and the first day I settled into a load of 27g.

Got this .119 group on that first day.

Shooting a Dakota Predator 6PPC with a no-turn 272 neck. Loves H322 and Berger 68gr bullets. Tried Barnes 68grFB Matchburners and also shot very well. I'm staying with H322 as powder of choice. As long as I do my part, I always get in the .2's, sometimes a tad better.

Good luck.

I suggest that the process of making your own brass, is a part of the tight neck 6PPC experience that you should not deny yourself. Buy the tools, and make the brass. If I can do it ..... Anyway, once you have mastered this task, and gotten over your fear of taking your loading kit to the range, and shooting over a couple of flags, You will have the feeling of satisfaction that comes from having learned something new, and having made it work properly. This stuff isn't rocket science or brain surgery. What's the worst that you can do, mess up a few pieces of brass? Big deal! Learning a bunch of new stuff is the best part of it, and if your rifle's barrel is not worn out, you are really going to like knowing that if the bullets are not where you aimed, that it was something other than the rifle, or the load, and then you can really start how to shoot small. If you need any help, just ask.
