Digital Caliper Magic - please explain

Class X, set or individual, needed for one tenth micrometers.
This Chinese ZZ set was $47, might not meet specs though.
Good enough for Dial Calipers.
I do have a better set but don't drag it out for calipers.
I have some individual (also ZZ) from iGaging and some Vermont pins both + and -.
For really critical measurements I break out my standard 85.5 grain Berger bullet.
85.495 grains, .22395"/.22400" diameter 1.170" long. :)
