Difference Between VX-II and VX-2

I just found out that Leupold has discontinued the VX-II scope and replaced it with the VX-2. :'( Does anyone know what (if anything) has changed?? Leupold's web site does not say anything about this.
 
Leupold VariX - VX downgrade came about 5-6 years ago!!

Personal preference-
I'll take the VariXII/VariXIII varieties over the current VX's any day of the week.

I don't care for the VX line of turrets/caps.
