Did Your State Public Range Extened Weekly Hours

Hope this is the right place ;D

Our public range here in Hawaii has extended the range hours by seven more hours a week. This has a lot of people at our range starting to wonder why the state extended hours after we have been complaining for years. Now that ammunition is getting low why now the extended in range hours.

My question to this group is, could you please call or if you know that your state public gun range has extended there hours? We're trying to find out if this is a nation wide public shooting range extension in the weekly hours for state ran public shooting ranges only.

Please reply your findings on this post.

Respectfully, Range Day

Here in Pennsylvania you must have a $30 range permit OR a current Hunting or Fur Lic.
(1) Rifle and handgun ranges are open from 8 a.m., prevailing time, until sunset Monday through Saturday and from 12 noon to sunset Sundays, unless otherwise posted; except the Sunday immediately preceding the regular antlered and antlerless deer seasons and the regular bear season, when the hours are 8 a.m. to

Here in ND they are sunup to sundown seven days a week. Unless otherwise posted. LE and hunting clubs check out the ranges from time to time. Mule days are coming so the Bismarck range will be shut down for a day so that group can introduce young hunters to hunting and blah...

Our game and fish department closed the range due to a fire danger. It is only a 100yd range and it is all dirt so there is not really anything to burn.

I guess it will be that way all summer.

someone suggested that exact thing to me at kokohead yesterday. I don't think that is any conspiracy or anything. There are a lot more shooters here in hawaii now and we are a lot more politically active. They are also doing repairs too, so 1/3 of the rifle range is closed off.

I don't believe giving people more time to shoot at the range would be effective at reducing ammo stockpiles because people are stockpiling ammo to save not to shoot. To my knowledge, most mainland states don't have public ranges with RSO's and such. They are mostly private ranges and clubs not controlled by government.

You have a state range ?? I am jealous,in Connecticut ranges are privately owned and operated. If our taxes went to something as good as a public range, our gov would kill them.

I guess I do not know who owns them. I know the ones locally are managed by the game and fish department. They are clowns but they try. They do not have RSO’s. They are a you play nice or we will shut it down operation. The one south of Bismarck has a game and fish volunteer that enforces all the rules. I have not seen anyone else at the other local ranges.
