I have bedded several guns with Devcon 62345 S-6 (blue package in the photo) with excellent results. My old supply is gone and I ordered more from an ebay vendor and got the Devcon home 62345 in the red package (their photo was the blue package one). I was upset and filed a 'not as described' complaint. I ordered again from a different vendor with the same result. Thus began a several hour investigation to find out if the recent purchase of Devcon by ITW had resulted in a package change. I still do not have a conclusion. The only difference in specs I can see is the 90 minute pot time on the blue package vs the 60 minute handling time on the back of the red package.
I feel the red package will probably work just fine, but bedding a rifle is a lot of work to find out your material doesn't work and have to redo it.
Has anyone else run into this?
