Delays in Bolt Delivery from Pacific Tool and Gauge

It’s the end of the world as we know it if they ever decide they’ve had enough. There is no successor. When it’s too hard to produce for a huge specialty machine shop, PTG is who they turn to. If Boeing was capable of making every part of its commercial airliners, but with a minuscule staff and tiny budget, then Boeing would be to aeronautical manufacturing what PTG is to firearms manufacturing.
I don’t think profit is even their motive. No, they must do this to prove the point that industrial resourcefulness did not die here in the age of the last steam engines. They are simply redefining what hard to do, means, carrying a tradition someone was taught a long time ago.
Honestly, they will set up to make a .22 LR 40X bolt or two, for a gun that hasn’t been produced in decades. Who does this. What chipper, turn the world inside out business school grad wouldn’t stare in a bewildered stupor at their website and decimate their product catalog to pay themselves the entire savings, in the form of consulting compensation, and think they accomplished something.
Who believes they could do it faster or better. I have seen no hands. There will never be a hand raised, and their near peers know why. They are a bridge to a better, harder, sweatier past, and we don’t make bridges like we used to. We are just lucky this is their chosen industry and should value every year they persist.

On numerous shooting forums I look on there are hundreds of threads like this about PT&G, and none are positive....
