Decipher a ladder

Help on deciphering a ladder test.
I shot these 2 ladders using the same components at 300 today. The breeze did pick up a little and the murage got worse on one target. There were no signs of pressure.
What load would you pick to test with? I will check with my magneto speed next.
thanks Don

I would shoot 4thru 6 over but use .1 increments between those charge weights.
Even with wind a mirage they're holding a line

What happened to 30.1, 30.4 and 30.7? Seems something is off. And the right target has no shot for #1

Holy cow. you are right .
1- 32.0
2- 31.7
3-31.4
4-31.1
5-30.8
6-30.5
and #1 has a shot but there is paper under 1/2 of it.
sorry it's past my bedtime lol
Would anyone work around #2 at 31.7 ?
thanks

I hate ladder tests because of their uncertainty.
I’m ok with velocity tests which are similar and can highlight pressure nodes but typical ladder tests rely on perfect technique and conditions.
You might be better served by Cortina’s long range load development at 100 yds.

I would look at the flat spot 1/2 grain there.
Lots of forgiveness.
But I'm a group shooter not a ladder tester.

I'd go with 5. Of the two targets, #5 is in the 'middle' of shots 4,5 & 6 on the one and is nearly horizontal to shot 6 on the other. Might shoot those three loads again taking more care on your form and follow through for each shot. Then you will have a better idea which way to go.

+1 on this approach. Looks to me like #5 could be the middle of a node, plus it would have the advantage of being easier on your brass than the hotter loads.

I'm not sure what caliber this is or shooting off a bi pod maybe a rest or sneezed -I'm guessing 6BRA bye the powder if so I'd look at 2-3 a little closer.
Call me crazy if you want!

I'd be in on shot number five. BTW, I did decide before I saw all those other smart people with the same answer. ;)
