Now..back to the interview! He spoke about bullet galling from over polished lands: I know this is correct because my pac-nor friends experimented with this back in the day to determine the threshold level for match lapping. However he went on to say that the button rifling process hardens the steel by compressing it (forget his psi number) and that the pressure exerted on the steel-lands by the bullet was only around half of that button psi number. He was implying that button barrels are harder than cut barrels and thus will 'last' longer. ?
