He spoke about bullet galling from over polished lands: I know this is correct because my pac-nor friends experimented with this back in the day to determine the threshold level for match lapping. However he went on to say that the button rifling process hardens the steel by compressing it (forget his psi number) and that the pressure exerted on the steel-lands by the bullet was only around half of that button psi number. He was implying that button barrels are harder than cut barrels and thus will 'last' longer. ?

I was reading that you friend wasn't one of the 'circuit boys' and just showed up with no fancy gear and no spotter. Shot alone and smoked everyone. Handicapped at that, after I noticed his abnormal trigger finger position in the video.

He only has 7 fingers which were reattached after an accident. He has pins in his neck. You can see in the picture how uncomfortable he looks. Was just talking to him and he said his shoulder was black and blue from the earlier session.. Factory barrel with factory brake, said he really hadn't care to advance on the farther targets it hurt so much. Pain went away after that 3rd. Shot. He's not a 1 time wonder, he's set numerous records with most being with his longrange pistols and rimfire guns. He's no slouch.

Love the xc, sells great components at a good price, everyone I’ve talked to there including him has been great. He’s innovative and a wealth of knowledge. I always enjoy anything that I can watch and read of his.
