Dasher and BRX neck lengths

Thanks for the link.

6 BR neck, 0.322"

Norma 6 Dasher "long neck", 0.290" according to the Bullets.com site

6BR-DX neck, 0.283″

6 Dasher neck, 0.246"

6 BRX neck, 0.210"

6 BRBS neck, I didn't find a specific number or drawing but if the shoulder is moved forward 0.120". If all of that is subtracted from the neck then the remaining neck would be 0.202".

The only case that has SAAMI specifition is the 6 mm BR . The rest are wildcats so their no specifications.
The new dasher brass could be different the case says dasher and has a reamer specifications are listed . I haven't seen the PSI rating on the case yet. Larry

Isn't the BRX generally a br with th shoulder blown .100" forward? That would put the neck at .222" wouldn't it?

I am not familiar with the cartridge. The information here http://www.accurateshooter.com/cartridge-guides/6mmbrimproved/ is that the shoulder is moved forward 0.120" on the 6 BRX. I assumed that to mean both the shoulder/body junction and the neck/shoulder junction equally.

If someone knows different, please jump in.

Here is what I see on the SAMMI site:

That is all of the metric calibers, the rest are all SAE calibers , 243, 260, 308 etc.

Maybe someone can point me to the right place.

Both the Rem and Norma versions are listed on the C.I.P site.

Here is another that might blow up your skirt....

I will have this reamer in hand, along with 500 of the new "long neck 6mm Dasher" Norma cases shortly....

Approximately 0.300" neck length

Yeah, it does. :)

I like a 40 deg shoulder and body taper is not an issue for me. The shortcoming of the Dasher that I was seeing was the short neck (an especially critical issue for the 1.3" long bullets I have in mind). This would resolve that and actually have a longer neck than the 6 BR-DX.

If the 'new' Norma brass manufacturing process and the metallurgy is good, then this looks great!
