my first one was a oehler 33 so i only ever shot the metal supports on the sky screens that hold the reflector up. got a labradar now and id recommend itWell after over 20 years of use, I finally did it. The old Chrony is dead.
I will be needing a new one. Any suggestions? And I don't want that thing that attaches to the barrel, and I probably will not spend as much as new barrel, as I would probably shoot that one too. Just as good chronograph similar to this one.

hmmmm - he managed to not hit a 3" gap at a few paces... what are the chances of getting the bullet to pass the bayonet at 1/3"? affixed to the stock somehow, now that might be safe. just kidding... apologies (and condolences) to urbanriflemanas much as i do not like the new bbl mounted chrono. it can be mounted on a rod, next to the bbl
attached to the bench or some stable mass. you can do the same with labradar( they sell a mic)
I know.....Go with the Lab..trust me you can shoot the v3 hanging off the barrel don’t ask how I know![]()
The labradar has rendered all other chronographs obsolete as witnessed by all the offers of free or discounted ones. The magnetospeed even got its short life cut short when the labradar came along.
I ruined my chrony, but I didn't even get the satisfaction of putting a hole in it. I tripped on the printer cord and tipped it over. When it fell it smashed the printer plug into the plastic case and broke it.
They hold the diffuser shields in place.the rods have no function except for lineup- so lineup & remove the rods before shooting.
