Daddy Gonna be Needing a new Chronograph

Well after over 20 years of use, I finally did it. The old Chrony is dead.

I will be needing a new one. Any suggestions? And I don't want that thing that attaches to the barrel, and I probably will not spend as much as new barrel, as I would probably shoot that one too. Just as good chronograph similar to this one.

I used to shoot those on purpose, and I felt good about it. Buy the magneto, I fought the thought too, I've only had one barrel affected by it being on the end of a barrel<lighter barrel. Yes, you'll have a slight POI change.
I have the ladradar too, but magneto is my go to.

Been there, done that...twice. First was a .223 with loose scope mounts. Second lost the battle to a 45/70 when a makeshift bench collapsed as I triggered a round.

as much as i do not like the new bbl mounted chrono. it can be mounted on a rod, next to the bbl
attached to the bench or some stable mass. you can do the same with labradar( they sell a mic)

You want my old one? For the postage to ship it to you?

Needs new sky screens though, tabs’d broken off my set, I taped ‘em together to get some life out of ‘em rather than buying new.

It’s newer than yours, but not by much. Not used the past ten or so since I went up to a 35P.

I have a NIB Oehler 35 with proof channel and 2 screens, but no printer, that I bought years ago and will part with. Never used it. Make me an offer and we'll see what shipping would be for it.

Sort of been there, several years ago while I was gathering data for my S&W 29 using 300 grainers, but I just barely struck one of the steel rods. Straightened the bent rod and everything still works fine.

I recently bought a Magnetospeed V3, I can say with certainty I'll never give it up......

My wife got me one from Caldwell, that has the machine on top and you just can't hit it while aiming through the middle. You will always shoot low. Wonder why no body thought of that before. It also talks to my phone, so I can set it out farther. Don't know what she paid for it, but after shooting 3 chronys, it is a great gift.

The labradar has rendered all other chronographs obsolete as witnessed by all the offers of free or discounted ones. The magnetospeed even got its short life cut short when the labradar came along.
