Cz 457 mtr eley match, center x, sk pistol match, sk rifle match

I’ve shot all of the above and I’ve settled on Match and Tenex.
Was shooting Xact but the price/reward wasn’t there once I put a tuner on.
CZ’s seem to thrive on Eley.
Mine thrives on anything lapua/sk branded. No tunners for me this is a factory rifle. Killing it on factory ARA targets and shoots dang good on the unlimited targets. Shoots awesome with cheap sk std plus of the lots i have.

My CZ seems to prefer Lapua and SK ammo as well. No tuner, except the titanium screw on weight I added that did help shrink my group sizes. It may well benefit from a tuner, and that may be in the future for it.

You's got a sho nuff shooter right there!

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my mail lady who has possession of a new scope for my 457 Pro Varmint that I acquired a few days ago. Rain forecast for all day tomorrow but I might be able to squeeze a few rounds off this evening.

That's some great shooting buddy! We shot in a match today that we had to have tie down straps to keep us on the bench! :D I like that one lone sighter too! ;)

I shot a match that was 15 to20 mph thats the strongest wind i have shot a 22 match in still scored a 2500 so i was happy. Rifle cases and everything on bench besides rifle was all over the range. Makes for a good laugh

Super shooting for sure! My shots were swinging like a pendulum from left to right, with the occasional lucky center ring hit!

had my personal best match yesterday at the Orangeburg SC tournament. An excellent club and some great competition. Ended up with a 2300 agg. My best target was a 2400 and I am convinced both the 50's were mental issues. On target 5 bull 20 I realized I had a chance for a 2500 and my sphincter locked up, then of course the dreaded last shot. All in all though my best match ever. Many thanks to the guys in Orangeburg, including the volunteers who hung and scored the targets

Best target - shot with a 15 year old 452 with a department store Bushnell scope mounted with $10 Amazon rings. SK LR match ammo

Target looks great nice job! cheap scope and rings to me dont make a difference its only 50 yards on a stationary target with a huge bullseye. It does feel good though when your low budget setup shoots awesome and outshoots the expensive stuff. Where the more expensive optics and mounts shine is when you constantly dial your scope for different distances and its repeatable day in and day out. And the ability for the rifle to hold a zero. I have not touched my zero for well over a year.

Well shot a 2500 5x yesterday at our local club precision 22 match. Cz 457 mtr still hammering away. Then i decided to try some new shooting to switch up the fun. My first attempts to trying to shoot out the 100 ring. Not sure if its possible for my skill level. Warmed up with 5 shots then 10 shots trying to sneak up on the edge. Then loaded all the mags and gave it a go trying to find the best strategy for it. Either way its a good way to shoot a whole box of ammo per bullseye lol. Far right sighter was last attempt i ran out of ammo. Screenshot_20230414_065543_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20230414_072636_Gallery.jpg

Fun day yesterday shooting the 22 match. Switched it up some, shot some bulk loose packed blazer ammo i had sitting around for over 20 years. Figured it would shoot around 1500 pt range, to my surprise it shot 2 cards over 2200 pts for the win. Now thats what i call a cheap day of fun. Cz 457 mtr seems to shoot whatever i load in the mag. Might try golden bullets next month.20230511_131058.jpg

Target was shot in 2min 5 seconds lol just sending lead downrange holding off for wind changes
Couple questions if I may,
I see you mention “cast” in the mtr stock, what are you meaning by that? Is it not straight on the bottom in the rear bag?

Also do you single feed your bullets or shoot from the magazine in your mtr? I seen a few guys say the match chamber scars up the bullet head feeding from the magazine.

I'll tell you what. I'm just working with a CZ-At one for a project.
I stuffed the magazine and cycled them thru onto a towel. Six
had scuff marks ever so slight. I picked up a sled and it made
no difference. It may be a bad design but it is a CZ sled. My
grandson will have no problem putting them in the chamber,
but my large hands make it impossible without opening the
port a bit.
