Compared to the situation in 2008 and the several years after, this is definitely not a shortage. This, is a free lunch. Worst I’ve seen lately is having to look a little.
If you go to buy for a match in 2 weeks, well I guess you are SOL. I plan a head. When you see the shelf’s are stocked in a time of no panic, buy for 5 years and support the gun shop. Don’t bitch when you have not. Varget, H4350 and many primers were plentiful 6 months ago. Really.
This adds nothing to the discussion.Gorji,
In 2009 when the AntiAmerican Obammy illegally obtained the Office of President it took half way through his second term to see things start to taper off and in reality it took getting Trump in to see the selfs full again! If you can do the math that was 8 years! I suggest you vote for Trump and tell every slacker that says my vote don’t count to get off there lazy ass and do the same!

I just took a quick look at the Powder Valley website. Lots of primers for sale in stock. Check them out, gorji!
Hello:I am relatively new to reloading (6 years).
I want to solicit opinion on folks here about the current shortage of bullets and primers on how long it will last? I am not running short but I need to know how to long so I can "ration" my trips to the range especially when it comes to hand gun reloading.
Be healthy and safe.
It should BE the discussion! Bozo699 is 100% correct. All you who are too afraid to stand up for what is right and to lazy to vote are the problem. Here in rural Pa the I always hear we can't out vote Pittsburgh and Philly. Thats right. They get 60% VOTER turn out and in the rural counties we get 30%.So shooters who are too cowardly to stand up for our rights and too lazy to vote are a problem, I fear it's a pretty large number. Talk about politics and some want to hush us up....maybe it's closet liberals who want socialism. I wonder. To the OP you will learn to stay 2 yrs ahead to avoid shortages. Just the facts. This adds nothing to the discussion.

You asked the question not me!....
I beg to differ with you! In 2008 I was working at a small family owned Sawmill employing around a hundred people and had been in business since around WWll by July of 2009 we ran our last board through the planner I was a 20+ year employee and the last Electrician still working so I had two weeks more than most mothballing her! My last day was July 23rd and July 26th I went to work for ATK now Vista Outdoor’s I spent the next 6 years there. We ramped up hired more employees built new state of the art equipment and we literally could not make enough bullets, primers and ammunition to keep up with the demand I was working 80+ hours per week and we never letup at all until late 2015!... You ask about the current shortage Duration!?... They have came up with this mass Pandemic simply and for one purpose only!.... to overturn the Trump administration!.... replace Trump and his Staff with left wing fools!.... and bring this country into the new improve socialist/communist way!.... one world government and you say this has nothing to do with the discussion!?..... it has everything to do with the discussion and I lived and worked through it in the shooting world at ATK!.... I think I know what happened if you don’t want a answer to a really silly and by silly I mean really silly because no one!... could possibly know the answer to your question then don’t ask to start with!... this is a open forum and I’m entitled to my opinion!....
P.S.......
I have several hundred pounds of gun powder, several hundred thousand primers and thousands of bullets because I already lived through it a couple times before! I have enough 105 Burgers Varget, 4895 br4s 450s and 6br brass for my 6brx and Dashers to compete for probably 5 years!... you don’t see me asking when the shortage of components will lighten up!...
Happy shooting gorji!.....
